I recently had the privilege of participating in the Cyber Security Challenge Belgium Finals with my team. This year, we named our team “We Thought This Was Speed Dating”. The event was held at the Royal Military Academy, where we engaged in a series of Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges. The atmosphere was both intense and exhilarating, as 38 teams competed fiercely for a coveted spot in the top 25. Despite the high stakes, the experience was incredibly enjoyable and rewarding.
The event was supported by numerous sponsors, who provided valuable networking opportunities following the challenge. This allowed us to engage in insightful conversations about cybersecurity, connect with recruiters, and gain an understanding of the diverse visions and strategies these companies are pursuing within the industry.
I highly encourage anyone based in Belgium to consider participating in the Cyber Security Challenge Belgium. This annual competition offers a unique opportunity to test and enhance your cybersecurity skills. While participation in the finals is reserved for students who must verify their student status, the qualifying rounds are open to all.
